A fair old bit of news for you this month. Firstly, Roland Dunne has been appointed as General Manager for MUNGO JERRY. Roland has, according to Ray Dorset, a real feel for the blues/soul/authentic roots music that the band is into. Roland’s role is to pull together the various activities of recording, touring and media in a consistent direction.

There are a few activities being planned right now. For starters, a tour of the USA begins on June 10^th 2004 at Dallas, Texas. The theme of the tour is ‘MUNGO JERRY re-exports the blues.’ The band will go down very well across the water as they play authentic honest rock/blues/boogie/roots music and they play it with great feeling. Other tours are being planned for UK, Europe, South Africa and Australia. If you want them to play near you, wherever you are, why not make contact direct with ROLAND or through me?

Secondly, the latest CD ‘Adults Only’ by the MUNGO JERRY BLUESBAND is to be released in the UK on Thursday 13^th May 2004 with a launch party in London. Ray Dorset will play a short acoustic set at Ray’s Jazz & Blues Records, Charing Cross Road, London at 6 pm that day. A band gig will take place later that evening nearby (venue to be announced).

Thirdly, recording has already begun on the next MUNGO JERRY CD tentatively titled ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes.’ I am sure there is a good reason why that title has been chosen but I don’t know what it is (yet).

So, as you can see, MUNGO JERRY are alive and well and still very busy making and playing music. This website is also alive and active again after a slight dormant period. Hope you stick with me.
